One real training session — not a sales pitch, not a gym tour. You train, you see how it feels, and then you decide whether you want a coach. No card, no contract.
Most people who come to Coach J. have already tried. That's the frustrating part — the effort was there, the structure wasn't.
A plan built for your body and your calendar, adjusted as you go, with a coach who notices when you go quiet. That's the whole difference — and you can test it for free before you spend a dollar.
Your training and nutrition are written around your goal, your injuries, your schedule and the equipment you actually have. Not a PDF sent to everyone.
Every other week you and Coach J. look at what happened — what worked, what didn't — and the plan changes. Progress gets managed, not hoped for.
In person around San Diego if you want hands-on coaching and real accountability, or fully remote if you're out of the area or train on your own hours.
Built from the food you already eat and the way you already shop. If a plan needs a chef and a scale to follow, it isn't going to survive a real week.
You're working directly with John. He knows your name, your history and what you're chasing — and you can reach him when something comes up.
Show up, do the work, stay in contact — and Coach J. keeps adjusting the plan until it works. Your effort is met with his.
Every one of these started exactly where you are — with a first session and a decision.

Remote coaching covers the same ground — a custom training plan, a nutrition plan and biweekly check-ins — just without the in-person sessions. Choose "Remote" on the form and your free session runs online.
Especially for you. The first session is an honest assessment of where you're starting, and the plan is written from there. There's nothing to be embarrassed about — everyone in the photos above started somewhere.
Remote coaching is $250/month, in-person twice a week is $500/month and three times a week is $1,000/month. Six-month and annual commitments cost less per month. Full breakdown here. None of it is mentioned during your free session unless you ask.
Enough to get your session booked, plus occasional coaching tips. Reply STOP to any message and they stop immediately. Message and data rates may apply.
It goes to Coach J. so he can contact you about your session. It is never sold, rented or shared with advertisers. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
